Next up for the Stags is a Carabao Cup first round clash at home to Preston North End on Tuesday 10 August (7:45pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the game...

Mansfield will be without defender Elliott Hewitt and midfielder Harry Charsley due to thigh injuries, boss Nigel Clough revealed in Monday morning's news conference.

Preston manager Frankie McAvoy will have forwards Sean Maguire and Scott Sinclair available for selection, following the duos' recent isolation periods coming to an end.

Goalkeeper Declan Rudd will miss the game after being substituted with concussion on Saturday.

The Stags made a winning start to the Sky Bet League Two campaign on Saturday courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Bristol Rovers at One Call Stadium.

Frontman Oli Hawkins opened the scoring in the first-half, before Cian Harries' stunning volley made it one apiece.

There was late drama in the clash, as the Stags were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time, with striker Danny Johnson stepping up to convert.

Preston will be looking to bounce back from their season-opening 4-1 defeat to Hull City.

We last faced the Lilywhites last season, once again in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The fixture, played at Deepdale Stadium, ended with a convincing 4-0 win for the hosts.

The referee for Tuesday's match will be Ross Joyce, assisted by Robert Atkin and Geoffrey Russell. The fourth official will be Johnathon Bickerdike.

Mr. Joyce last took charge of a Stags' fixture in our 1-0 defeat at home to Harrogate Town in February.

Disabled supporters are entitled to a free carer ticket if on the higher rate of disability living allowance or the enhanced rate of personal independence payment.

The Quarry Lane Stand will not be open for the fixture.

Tickets are now available to purchase via stagstickets.co.uk.

Tickets will remain on general sale, via the ticket office and online, until kick-off on matchday.

The Kevin Bird Suite will not be open for supporters before, during or after the match.

Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen and our fans' zone bar will both open at 5pm.

Sandy's Bar & Kitchen will serve matchday food up until kick-off. No food will be available from Sandy's after the game.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for both home and away supporters, and the bar is located at the rear of the Ian Greaves Stand.

The club will not be producing a matchday programme for this fixture. The next edition of The Stag will be available to purchase on Saturday, when Mansfield welcome Newport County in Sky Bet League Two.

Car parking is severely restricted at One Call Stadium and works on a first come, first served basis. All reserved car parking spaces are within the location of the Ian Greaves Stand car park.

Matchday parking costs £5 per car. Please note that the car park shuts 30 minutes prior to kick-off due to safety regulations.

The following sites, owned by Mansfield District Council and with easy access to One Call Stadium are Grove Street, Victoria Street, Garden Road and Church Lane.

All of the above pay and display surface level car parks offer cashless parking via RingGo as an additional way to pay.

Where do I go when I get to One Call Stadium?

Hospitality

If you are a hospitality guest, please enter the stadium via the brown double doors to the rear of the Ian Greaves Stand, which is the entrance to our hospitality suites.

The doors are located to the left of the white merchandise stall outside Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen, backing onto the main car park and sign-posted 'The Kevin Bird Suite'.

Media

Members of the media are asked to also head to the entrance to our hospitality suites, where our media steward will provide you with the necessary accreditation.

Supporters

If you need to collect tickets, please head to the main ticket office on Quarry Lane. For ticket purchases, please visit the matchday ticket office, adjacent to the Quarry Lane Stand, around the corner from the main ticket office.

The Ian Greaves Stand is the main stand at One Call Stadium, which backs onto the main car park.

Away supporters are housed in the North Stand, which can be accessed via Portland Retail Park. Please note: there is no matchday parking at the retail park.

The match will not be available to view live on iFollow Stags.

Report: Stags 0-3 Preston North End

Despite a spirited performance, the Stags exited this season's Carabao Cup in the first round at the hands of clinical finishers Preston North End.

Scott Sinclair opened the scoring for the Sky Bet Championship side, dinking the ball over Nathan Bishop seconds before half-time.

Substitute Emil Riis Jakobsen took the opportunity to add a second with a fine finish to the top corner.

This was before Sinclair found time and space inside the Stags box to secure his brace ten minutes from time.

Nigel Clough made four changes from the side that beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 in the season opener at One Call Stadium on Saturday.

James Perch, Oli Hawkins and Danny Johnson dropped to the bench, while debutants Ryan Burke and Ryan Stirk made their first starts in amber and blue. George Lapslie started in midfield and Jordan Bowery returned to lead the line with Rhys Oates.

Mansfield threatened the Preston goal after just 15 seconds, Stirk’s curled ball from the left dropped narrowly ahead of the arriving Lapslie at the far post.

Two minutes later, Oates was causing Preston more problems from the left, dribbling past the stumbling Jordan Storey to direct a driven shot into the arms of Daniel Iversen.

A sustained spell of pressure led to Preston’s first big chance of the game in the 13^th minute. Sean Maguire’s first time through ball into Sinclair was quickly dealt with by Nathan Bishop, who raced off his line to make a close-range save and deny the forward.

Minutes later Stirk found Oates on the edge of the box, who controlled the ball and drove it powerfully wide of the left post.

Brad Potts tried his luck on the half hour mark as the midfielder fired a 30-yard effort into the Quarry Lane End.

A free-kick inside Stags’ own half found its way to Oates inside the box, who shook off his defender to shoot narrowly wide of the right post.

A minute before the break, a snapshot from Stirk on the edge of the box was fired through a body of players and clumsily dealt with by Iversen to keep the debutant out.

Against Mansfield’s growing presence in the game, Preston opened the scoring with a swift counter-attack in the 46^th minute.

Maguire’s devastating forward pass from midfield was latched onto by Sinclair, who showed his experience to lift the ball over the on-rushing Bishop and into the top right corner.

Mansfield began the second period brightly as Stephen McLaughlin sent an ambitious long-range effort over the crossbar.

Ten minutes after the break, Burke’s left-sided cross found Oates, who glanced his header wide of the mark.

Oates rounded his defender well after 63 minutes to whip a tempting ball into Bowery at the near post but the Preston defence was alert to edge the ball away.

Two minutes later, Gordon’s cross found its way to the feet of Farrend Rawson inside the Preston box, but the defender's shot was blocked at close-range.

Preston doubled their lead after 70 minutes following a poor goal kick from Nathan Bishop.

Bishop’s kick set Sinclair through on goal, who was denied by a reaction save from the on-loan stopper. However, Riis Jakobsen fired the follow-up effort into the roof of the net.

Four minutes later, Brad Potts struck the post as Preston looked to kill the game off completely.

Danny Johnson was introduced for Stags in the 77^th minute with the hopes of resurrecting tie.

Ten minutes from time, Ben Whiteman found Sinclair inside the box who settled himself in space to beat Bishop and finish the contest.

An 87^th minute Tyrese Sinclair free kick was powerfully struck into the arms of Iversen to end a frustrating night for the Stags.
