Young striker James Gale joined Mansfield Town on 01 September 2021 after a promising season in United Counties League Premier Division North for Derbyshire side Long Eaton United.
Having spent time in Derby County’s youth academy, Gale headed to Long Eaton for the 2020/2021 season, in which he bagged four times for their senior team.
He made his Stags debut on 09 November 2021 by starting in Mansfield’s 6-3 Papa John’s Trophy victory at home to Newcastle U23s, in which the Stags’ number 21 assisted Danny Johnson for the Stags’ first goal.
Gale made his first Sky Bet League Two appearance on 20 November 2021 in Mansfield’s 3-1 victory over Scunthorpe United at One Call Stadium.
