Mansfield Town Football Club are pleased to confirm that discussions are underway with West Nottinghamshire College to form a new partnership which will enable young female footballers at the Stags to further their education from the start of the 2024-25 season.
Prospectively, girls aged 16 to 18 would be based at RH Academy – the state-of-the-art training facility in Pleasley, Mansfield – which would enable a new affiliation with the area’s largest further education (FE) provider.
Stags’ director Steve Hymas said: “It’s an exciting development for our football club, especially coinciding with International Women’s Day.”
