Mansfield Town have arranged a behind-closed-doors friendly away at SPL outfit Hearts for tomorrow night.
The match at Tynecastle Park will kick-off at 7pm.
The fixture has been swiftly organised following the late cancellation by Barnsley of tomorrow’s proposed friendly at One Call Stadium.
“Once Barnsley had cancelled on us at late notice, we’d been trying to get a game and everyone was fixed up,” said manager Nigel Clough.
“We’d heard that Hearts were looking for a game. Unfortunately, it’s too late to get spectators in, so it’ll be behind-closed-doors, but to play at Tynecastle as well as against one of the top clubs in Scotland, was too good an opportunity to turn down. It’s a brilliant ground and I’m sure the players will enjoy the experience.
“We’re ten days from the start of the season so it’ll provide a good test for us.“
The match will be available to view in full the next day (Wednesday) on iFollow Stags, with commentary from Martin Shaw.
