Mansfield Town Football Club are pleased to announce Adam Somes Elite Training as the new sponsor of the Quarry Lane Stand at One Call Stadium.
Former striker Somes was as a youth scholar with the Stags and was the under-18s’ top goalscorer in 2011/12. He then signed a professional contract at the club before deciding to pursue a career in coaching.
He now provides elite football coaching to children aged between six and 16.
“Adam has gone from strength to strength over the last decade and his reputation for providing top quality coaching sessions is spreading across the country,” said commercial manager Michael Bradley.
“I’ve got to know him well over the last year. He is a very humble individual and his dedication to coaching and desire to help kids achieve their full potential in the game is heartwarming.
“This partnership is a good fit for the club and I’m looking forward to helping Adam raise the profile of his brand across the area and beyond.”
Adam Somes commented: “I started my business in 2013 not long after leaving Mansfield Town.
“We’re going from strength to strength with just over five hundred kids attending sessions throughout the week at multiple venues.
“We provide unique, high level and intense professional sessions.
“My business now works with just over fourteen professional football clubs, whose academies we play against. This can then lead to trial opportunities for the players at some fantastic football clubs.
“I have had just over forty kids sign academy forms over the past two to three years, so it’s an amazing opportunity for progress. I would only recommend attending, however, if you really want to push your football journey.
“It means a lot to support my local club and help in whatever way I can. The gave me my first chance and I want to give something back.”
