Preview: Tranmere v Stags

The Stags are in Sky Bet League Two action this Saturday (18 February) away at Tranmere Rovers (3pm kick-off). Here’s all you need to know…

As a mark of respect following the passing of club legend Kevin Bird, Stags’ first team will wear black armbands this Saturday.

George Maris missed Tuesday evening’s 4-0 win against Carlisle United due to a sore achilles and will be assessed prior to Stags’ trip to Merseyside.

Skipper Ollie Clarke was withdrawn at half-time at Brunton Park after sustaining a knock to his calf and will be assessed ahead of the game. 

Elliott Hewitt (knee), Kieran Wallace (head) and Stephen Quinn will also be assessed ahead of the game.

The encounter will come too early for Louis Reed, Rhys Oates, Callum Johnson and Stephen McLaughlin as they continue to recover from their injuries.

Anthony Hartigan had a successful operation following a shoulder injury sustained at Walsall on New Year’s Day but will be sidelined for the next few months.

The referee for Saturday afternoon’s match is Lee Swabey. Mr. Swabey will be assisted by Chris Isherwood, Alex Gray and fourth official, Tom Nield.

The club have received an initial allocation of 1,000 tickets for the contest.

Ticket prices are as follows:

Adult (25+): £22

Senior (65+): £17

Young adult (23-24): £18

*Young person (18-22): £15

Under-18: £9

Under-12: £5

Disabled plus PA: £15

*Young person category will require ID; student cards are not accepted. If an ID is provided without a date of birth then supporters will be charged the full adult price.

Disabled persons must:

  • Be on the middle or Higher Rate of care component of DLA
  • Have enhanced Daily Living Component of PIP
  • Have enhanced mobility
  • A letter from your GP or a Care Home Documentation

Wheelchair users must call Tranmere’s ticket office – 03330144452 to book. Wheelchair bays are in the home section.

Pre-bookable car parking is £6/£7 on the day on a first-come first-served basis.

Tickets will go off sale from One Call Stadium ticket office tomorrow (Friday) at midday.

Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen will be open from 8.30am, serving bacon and sausage cobs. 

Our official fans’ club – the Stags Supporters’ Association – are providing family friendly coach travel to Tranmere.

Coaches will depart at 10am from One Call Stadium.

Coach prices are as follows:

Amber/Junior Members: £15

Blue Members: £20

Non-Members: £25
