Mansfield Town under-19s are back in action this Saturday for a Youth Alliance Cup semi-final against Bolton Wanderers at Eddie Davies Training Ground (11am kick-off).
In the last round of the competition, Mansfield ran out 2-1 winners against Shrewsbury Town courtesy of an early strike from forward McKeal Abdullah as well as right-back Taylor Anderson converting from the penalty spot midway through the second-half.
Saturday’s hosts progressed to this stage after defeating Scunthorpe United 4-0 in the previous round.
Taylor Anderson, who made his debut in the first team’s away victory at Carlisle on 14 February, also linked up with the first team in the trip to Tranmere last Saturday, along with fellow Academy players McKeal Abdullah and left-back Darien Wauchope, who featured on the bench at Prenton Park.
