Mansfield Town under-19s are back in action on Saturday for a Youth Alliance League fixture against Huddersfield Town at RH Academy (11am kick-off).
The young Stags are aiming to build on their superb performance in their last outing on Tuesday against Scunthorpe United at RH Academy where versatile attacker Ronnie Kokkinos, forward Noah Aynley-Johnson and energetic midfielder Finn Flanagan were on the scoresheet.
As well as showing strong attacking qualities, Sam Collins’ young guns secured a clean sheet courtesy of goalkeeper Theo Avery, along with a backline which included Lewis Warnaby (right-back), Tyler Whyle (centre-back), Cormac Maher (centre-back) - who was then replaced by Daragh Walsh (centre-back) in the second-half - and Louis Bonser (left-back).
Last time out against this weekend’s visitors, the two sides provided a thrilling contest in West Yorkshire in which Flanagan, right-back Taylor Anderson and attack-minded midfielder Jakub Kruszynski found the back of the net.
