Inside 'The Stag' tomorrow!

18 March 2022

The latest version of our limited edition matchday programme, 'The Stag,' is available for just £2.50 ahead of tomorrow afternoon's Sky Bet League Two match at home to Stevenage (3pm).

The programme is available to purchase now online by clicking here. It will also be available for £2.50 at every kiosk around One Call Stadium on matchday.

Inside, you'll hear from chairman John Radford and manager Nigel Clough, ahead of the home fixture.

You'll be brought up to speed with the latest news from the club, as well as an update on the latest from the ladies’ team and the academy.

Midfielder Matty Longstaff discusses his favourite things and pet hates in the 'my favourite things' and 'room 101' sections. A poster of Mansfield’s number forty four can be found inside.

There is also a kids' quiz included inside to keep the young ones entertained at half-time!

The Stag will be sold on matchday at One Call Stadium's club shop and from the Stags' Supporters Association's (SSA) table inside Sandy's Bar & Kitchen from 1.30pm.

Supporters are also still able to purchase previous editions of The Stag, pre-order future editions or sign up to full-season subscriptions. To do so, click here.

YOUR MATCHDAY PROGRAMME...

For decades, the matchday programme has been a quintessential part of the football experience on a Saturday afternoon and in mid-week.

We know how valued the programme is to a number of our supporters and we have been proud to see this publication win several awards during the past few seasons for its rich, varied content and appealing design.

Since the advent of the digital age, programme sales at all professional football clubs have steadily declined.

During the 2019/20 season – the last campaign in which we saw fans inside football stadia – The Stag made a negligible profit.

As can be appreciated, the programme must be cost-effective from a business standpoint.

For the reasons above, the club will be using this season as a litmus test to decide whether to continue producing a programme. This will be totally subject to sales.

We will endeavour to provide exclusive content, where possible, and hope that you continue to purchase The Stag regularly and encourage others to do so as well.

The programme’s future relies on whether supporters like you show a desire to keep the programme as part of the matchday experience. And for this publication to continue, sales must increase this season.
