Preview: Salford v Stags

The Stags begin the 2022/23 campaign this Saturday (30 July) away at Salford City (3pm kick-off). Here’s all you need to know…


Mansfield boss Nigel Clough said this week that Kieran Wallace will not be available for the encounter.

Defender James Perch and midfield trio Jason Law, George Lapslie and Stephen Quinn will be assessed prior to Saturday.

Oli Hawkins will be suspended for the contest following his red card in the Play-Off Final at Wembley in May.


The last time the two sides met was on 02 May 2022 – the final away fixture of the Stags’ regular 2021/22 season.

The game finished 2-2 at The Peninsula Stadium. Defender Stephen McLaughlin bagged a brace for Mansfield.


The referee this weekend is Adam Herczeg. Mr. Herczeg will be assisted by Nicholas Barnard, Daniel Woodward and fourth official, Philip Dermott.

The club have been given 1,150 standing tickets & 186 seated tickets for the clash.

The prices for tickets for the 2022/23 campaign opener are as follows: 

Adult Seating & Standing: £15

Concession (16-21 and 60+) Seating & Standing: £10

Under-16 Seating and Standing: £5

Under-5 Seating: £5

Under-5 Standing: Free

Supporters who claim higher-rate DLA or enhanced PIP should pay at the age / status appropriate rate but are entitled to one complimentary carer’s ticket, should it be required.


Our official fans’ club – the Stags Supporters’ Association – are providing family friendly coach travel to Salford.

Coaches will depart at 11am from One Call Stadium.

Coach prices are as follows:
Amber/ Junior Members: £15
Blue Members: £20
Non Members: £25

Please note that supporters must have a match ticket to travel to The Peninsula Stadium with the SSA.

Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen will be open from 9.30am on matchday and serving sausage and bacon cobs for Stags’ fans before they head to Salford.
