Job Title

Youth Development Phase Lead Coach

Reports to

Academy Manager/Academy Head of Operations

Line manager

Academy Head of Coaching

Key responsibilities / description of duties

l  Head Coach of a YDP group

l  Oversee philosophy from U12-U16s

l  To coach and manage age group by planning and preparing all sessions

l  Deliver coaching sessions according to the YDP Syllabus

l  Arrange daily/weekly session plans for coaches within phase

l  Progress and develop individual training programme

l  Progress and develop Bio-Banding programme

l  Attend all relevant academy meetings including CPD throughout the season

l  Feedback through video / audio to be presented to players

l  Organise all travel to and from games

l  Arrange additional fixtures for the FP when necessary

l  Load relevant data onto PMA

l  3 player parent reviews

l  3 player reviews through IDP

l  Attend all EFL meetings where necessary

l  Observe and support development centres for U12-U16

l  Scouting as and when required for YDP phase

l  Attend 1st Team and Reserve games when possible

l  Record playing stats and data where required

l  Deal with all player / parenting issues on first basis

l  Arrange CPD within the YDP

l  Liaise with all over department heads (Inter-departmental)

l  Drive mini bus as and when required

l  Manage and arrange Tours for the YDP

Key Performance

l  Quality of football being played in accordance with the APP

l  Control how many players have registrations retained

l  To ensure that players under their control progress to Professional Development Phase

 

 

 

 

Desirable Personal Attributes:

Have a full clean driving licence 

Previous experience of working within the football or related industry 

Coaching Education experience

Youth Coaching experience

 

Qualifications - Essential

UEFA A Licence
FA Advanced Youth Award
Enhanced DBS Check
BFAS (current EFAiF)
FA Safeguarding Children Qualification

Salary - Competitive salary based on relevant experience.
