Defender John-Joe O’Toole has won Mansfield Town supporters’ Player of the Month award for December.
The 33-year-old, who signed in October as a free agent until late January, has been instrumental in the excellent run of form which has seen the Stags claim ten victories from the last eleven games.
The former Northampton Town and Burton Albion man has scored once and kept a clean sheet this month.
Stags won all four games in December, a statistic that coincides with O’Toole’s excellent performances in the amber and blue.
The Stags’ number 35 recorded over 36.9% of the fans’ vote.
Gifted youngster, Ryan Stirk, finished second in the poll on 16.9%.
Stirk has featured in every Mansfield game this month, producing impressive displays from midfield.
Third place in the Stags’ fans vote is Stephen McLaughlin.
The Irish full-back has scored twice and kept a clean sheet from left back in December.
McLaughlin recorded 11.1% of the vote.
Thank you to all the supporters who voted.
