Mansfield Town are delighted to announce that defender John-Joe O’Toole has signed a new contract which will keep him at One Call Stadium until the summer of 2024.
The 33-year-old has performed exceptionally for the Stags since signing as a free agent in October.
Playing in defence as well as midfield, the former Northampton man has made 13 appearances in all competitions for Nigel Clough’s in-form men, weighing in with three goals.
“We’re very pleased to see JJ sign his new contract and it’ll be brilliant news for Stags’ fans,” said manager Nigel Clough.
“Mr and Mrs Radford have worked very hard on this, along with David Sharpe, to get this over the line.
“Since he’s come into the club, we’ve enjoyed a great run, and JJ’s been a part of that. He feels we have a good squad with the potential of success.”
