Hiram Boateng will be assessed prior to the weekend. The midfielder had injuries to his ankle and hamstring so wasn’t risked against Derby in midweek. Boss Nigel Clough said he’d ‘hopefully be alright for Saturday’ after the match on Tuesday night.

George Maris got a ‘whack’ at the end Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup first round tie. He’ll also be looked at before Saturday.

Lucas Akins had a groin problem in the warm-up on against Derby. The versatile performer will also be assessed.

Jordan Bowery will be suspended for the encounter after being shown a straight red card in midweek.
