Groups of Mansfield Town supporters and locals will be putting their walking shoes on ahead of our home game against Barrow on Saturday 02 October, in order to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
The original walk – scheduled for March 2020 – was cancelled due to COVID-19, and now has a new date for this year.
Dubbed 90 Minutes Plus Added Time, participants will embark on four separate walks from four separate meeting points, with journeys taking approximately an hour-and-a-half and concluding at One Call Stadium.
The four routes will take participants through either Pleasley, Ravenshead, Mansfield Woodhouse or Kirkby-in-Ashfield, before the Stags take on Barrow in Sky Bet League Two.
Charity walkers will start their journey at approximately 12:45pm, arriving at One Call Stadium at around 2:15pm ahead of the match.
Each walk has a £10 sign-up fee, with all proceeds going to Prostate Cancer UK.
The four starting points for each walk are as follows…
North: New Houghton WMC
East: John Fretwell Complex
South: The Hutt, Ravenshead
West: The Kingsway Pub, Kirkby-in-Ashfield
A JustGiving page has been set up for the walk, with funds raised currently at £758 at the time of printing. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mick-edge.
Anyone wishing to join a walk can register via the above JustGiving page, by leaving a £10 donation with your name and starting point as your donation message.
Once this has been done, you are free to simply turn up at approximately 12:30pm at your chosen destination on the day of the walk.
Sponsorship forms are also available if anyone wishes to raise more funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
