Operations director in charity challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Now

26 February 2021

Mansfield Town operations director Tina Broughton is aiming to run 200km in March to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

An estimated 600,000 are currently living with a breast cancer diagnosis in the UK, and every year, we lose over 11,500 lives to the disease.

Breast Cancer Now is working towards ensuring that, by 2050, everyone with a breast cancer diagnosis lives, and is supported to live well.

The charity is steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care, and is there for anyone affected by breast cancer, providing support today and hope for the future.

Tina, who is looking to complete the charity challenge alongside sisters April and Jill, started running around a year ago, and has already raised over £1,300 for the breast cancer charity.

"We are aiming to each run 100km over the course of March to raise money for a really fantastic cause," said Tina.

"We are grateful for all donations - large or small - which will all go towards fighting breast cancer across the UK.

"Having achieved my 100km goal, I'm going to carry on running to hopefully achieve 200km in March!"
