Wing-back Joe Riley is a long-term absentee and will miss the clash.

The Saddlers will be without midfielder Rory Holden for the game.

The Stags were due to face Forest Green Rovers on Saturday afternoon, but the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Nigel Clough’s side head into Saturday’s clash with Walsall in good form, having won each of their last five Sky Bet League Two fixtures. However, recent postponements mean that the Stags last played on Saturday 23 January.

Last time out, Walsall recorded an impressive 3-1 win away at Port Vale, a game that was also played on Saturday 23 Janaury. The Saddlers sit 12th in the Sky Bet League Two table heading into Saturday, three points and three places above the Stags, having played one game more.

Caretaker boss Richard Cooper was in the dugout the last time the two sides met, a 1-1 draw at One Call Stadium back in October 2020.

Frontman Nicky Maynard - now on loan at Newport - opened the scoring for the amber and blue, with Walsall’s Elijah Adebayo equalising four minutes into the second-half.

Referee Alan Young will take charge of Saturday’s game, assisted by Kevin Howick and Ollie Williams. The fourth official will be James Oldham.

Mr. Young also took charge of our last meeting with Walsall – mentioned above – in October.
