Mansfield will be without wing-back Joe Riley, as the defender continues his recovery from an ACL injury suffered in pre-season training.

On Saturday afternoon, following the Stags’ defeat at Newport County, boss Graham Coughlan revealed he will be fielding a strong side for Tuesday’s Trophy fixture, saying: “I want to win the game, so I’ll be fielding as strong [a side] as possible.”

The Stags have played one match in this season’s EFL Trophy, a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City under-21s, who currently top the group after their 4-0 win over Scunthorpe United last time out.

Lincoln City have two points on the board in Group E, following their penalty shootout win against Scunthorpe after a 1-1 draw.

We last faced the Imps in a Sky Bet League Two clash in March 2019. Lincoln travelled to One Call Stadium on a Monday evening for a 1-1 draw, which was televised on Sky Sports.

The referee for Tuesday’s match will be Ben Toner, assisted by Paul Stonier and Anthony Da Costa. The fourth official will be Wayne Grunnill.

Mr. Toner last took charge of a Stags’ fixture in 2019, an EFL Trophy match against Everton under-21s that ended 1-1.

Current Stags’ midfielder Harry Charsley played for Everton in the match.
