Stags to host taster day at Brooksby Melton College

12 November 2020

Mansfield Town and Brooksby Melton College are hosting a taster day for their Level 2 and Level 3 Sport courses next month.

The taster day will take place on Sunday 13 December, from 10am to 1pm at the Brooksby Melton College campus.

Aimed at 16 to 18-year-olds, the courses on offer provide the perfect environment for talented young footballers to excel in the sport they love whilst gaining an exceptional education.

The taster day, which will show young footballers what the Mansfield Town programme is all about, will consist of the following:

10am - Arrival and welcome
10-10:30am - Tour of facilities
10:30-11am - Education talk
11-11:15am - Accommodation talk
11:30am-1pm - Football taster session

To comply with BMC's COVID-19 policies, you must arrive in your kit (no changing on site) and you must bring a face mask to wear indoors. In addition, social distancing will be practised throughout the day.

Former Mansfield midfielder and current academy coach Neal Bishop said: "If you have a passion for football and want to combine that with education, this is a perfect opportunity.

"You can learn with UEFA A Licence coaches, with a course that is split between playing football and gaining an education.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a passion for football who want to reach their potential."
