Mansfield Town can confirm that midfielder Alistair Smith is ‘feeling much better’ and has showed significant signs of improvement.
The 20-year-old, on loan to Conference North outfit Kettering Town, was taken unwell on Saturday before their match at AFC Telford.
Alistair was instructed by Mansfield Town’s medical staff to self-isolate, in line with government advice, and told to report any deterioration or development of new symptoms.
Thankfully, Alistair has showed significant signs of improvement, but will remain in self-isolation for the time being, in line with government advice.
Alistair has today contacted the club and has said he is ‘feeling much better’.
Alistair will continue to be monitored by the medical team during this time and appropriate action will be taken should his symptoms change.
