Mansfield Town under-18s are in action this Saturday, when they host Rotherham United at the RH Academy (11am kick-off).
The amber and blue will be in action for the first time in just under three weeks, following the postponement of their last two Youth Alliance League fixtures.
Ryan Ingram’s hat-trick and Isaac Fisher’s first of the season were enough to defeat Scunthorpe United 4-2.
The Millers were beaten in their last Youth Alliance fixture, following a 3-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town on 22 February.
Ciaran McGukin was on target for the visitors, but they were condemned to a rare defeat in West Yorkshire.
This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides this season and the last encounter was memorable to say the least.
The Stags and the Millers faced off in the second round of the FA Youth Cup in November and it was the home side who prevailed at One Call Stadium.
Two goals late in extra time from Rio Molyneaux and substitute Ingram sealed victory against the 10-man Millers.
Strikes from Joshua Scott and Nathan Saunders had seen the Stags ahead before the visitors equalised late on in regular time of the contest.
The young guns made their numerical advantage count as they struck late on in the additional 30 minutes to book their place in the next round.
As ever, supporters are welcome to attend the game for free at the following venue: The RH Academy, Wodburn Lane, Mansfield, NG19 7RT.
