Confirmation of Football in the Community activities

Mansfield Town Football in the Community can confirm that a selection of Community Activities have been cancelled in accordance to EFL Guidelines, regarding COVID-19.

The EFL issued a statement on Friday confirming the postponement of EFL fixtures until 03 April at least, where it was also advised that community schemes - including Mansfield Town Football in the Community - should cease activities.

This morning, Mansfield Town Football in the Community held a meeting to confirm what measures it should take over the coming weeks and concluded that, in accordance with the guidelines outline by both the EFL and the government, the following activities scheduled to take place at One Call Stadium will be postponed.

*Anyone who feels unwell prior to the session(s) should NOT attend as a precautionary measure.

Football in the Community can also confirm that any party bookings made for Saturday 28 March WILL go ahead as planned, whilst on a day-to-day basis, it will continue to work within partner schools. Any mascot packages or flag bearing experiences booked for any cancelled home game, will be re-arranged and contacted shortly.

Head of CCO Mark Hemingray said: “We’ve worked within EFL Guidelines to ensure that any activities delivered to those at risk, in particular ‘Active Minds’, are cancelled – however whilst some activities remain on, these will remain under consistent review in accordance with the guidelines outlined by both the government and our governing body, the EFL and EFL Trust.

“Football in the Community will remain open for business, however we ask that a customer’s primary method of contact be via calling 01623 656 920 or emailing community@mansfieldtownfitc.net.

Mansfield Town Football in the Community advise any parent whose child attends a FITC ran activity within school, check with the school that the activity is going ahead, and can also confirm that our Easter Holiday clubs will be going ahead as planned.
