Nine new first year scholars will represent our under 18s next season, we are pleased to announce.
Following an induction, the scholars penned their contracts at RH Academy - the club's training ground - yesterday.
The nine youth team players who are pleased to introduce ahead of next season are:
▪ Colt Reynolds - Striker
▪ Curtis Davies - Midfielder
▪ Diego Edwards - Forward
▪ Freddie Pitts - Centre-back
▪ Jack Deakin - Striker
▪ Jonty Bouch - Midfielder
▪ Lewis Hill-Smith - Centre-back
▪ Max Hurdis - Winger
▪ Owen Mason - Goalkeeper
Academy manager Richard Cooper said: "We are really excited about the upcoming season as it will be the first time that we will have all our teams operating out of the same training base (at RH Academy).
"This is a brilliant opportunity for both players and staff to fully collaborate together and develop all our players further.
"Our existing scholars will be joined by nine new recruits, which takes our squad total to 18.
"A lot of the boys are familiar to the surroundings as we integrated a number of them in and around the team last season.
"During July, the players will be working through a fitness plan which we will continually observe via Zoom and other technology platforms.
"We are hopeful that the scholars will be back at the RH Academy by early August."
Meanwhile, six scholars from last season have been released:
▪ Jordan Armsden
▪ Jamie Boyle
▪ Isacc Fisher
▪ Rio Molyneaux
▪ Larell King
▪ Nathan Saunders
Richard Cooper added: "We wish all of our departing scholars well and thank them for all their efforts.
"Myself and the staff are still in contact with them and we will continue to help them with their planning for the future."
