Mansfield Town under-18s are in league action this weekend, when they face Huddersfield Town under-18s at the RH Academy (11.30am kick-off).
The Stags fell to a late defeat against league leaders Doncaster Rovers last time out and will be looking to bounce back against the Terriers.
Ryan Ingram had cancelled out Jack Watson’s opener just before the break but Rovers snatched all three points in cruel fashion through Junior Smith’s last-gasp strike.
The visitors will be looking for a response of their own after going down 3-0 to Notts County in their last outing.
In the last meeting between the sides, a late comeback saw the amber and blue clinch their first victory of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Stags fell behind midway through the opening half but came back strongly in the second period.
The young guns were rewarded for their dominance as they equalised five minutes from time through Josh Scott’s penalty.
Not content with settling for a point, Mansfield pressed for the winner and found it in stoppage time when Jimmy Knowles curled effort found the top corner.
Stags sit fifth in the table heading into the fixture, while Huddersfield occupy 11th position.
As ever, supporters are welcome to attend the game for free at the following venue: The RH Academy, Wodburn Lane, Mansfield, NG19 7RT.
