Preview: Stags vs Cambridge United

17 September 2019

Next up for the Stags is a Sky Bet League Two clash against Cambridge United at One Call Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the match...

Team news.png

Stags' boss John Dempster has confirmed that midfielder Willem Tomlinson could feature after missing Saturday's away defeat at Crawley.

Striker Andy Cook could also play some part on Tuesday night after recently returning from a knee injury.

Forward Nicky Maynard will miss the match against the U's having picked up a hamstring injury on Saturday in West Sussex.

The game will come too soon for the trio of long-term absentees Bobby Olejnik, Craig Davies and Jordan Graham. Wing-back Hayden White is also likely to miss out having only returned to training on Monday morning.

For the U's, midfielder Samir Carruthers is a doubt after suffering a hamstring injury in their win over Crewe on Saturday.

Last time out, the Stags were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Crawley Town at the People's Pension Stadium. Winger Bez Lubala scored the only goal of the game with his deflected effort.

The U's recorded a superb victory last time out, a dramatic 3-2 win away at Crewe Alexandra.

Last time we met.png

We last faced Cambridge at One Call Stadium in April of this year, recording a 1-0 victory courtesy of a second-half Tyler Walker strike.
