Preview: Grimsby Town vs Stags

4 October 2019

Next up for the Stags is a trip to face Grimsby Town at Blundell Park on Saturday 05 October. Here’s all you need to know ahead of the match…

team-news.png

The Stags will be without goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik after the shot-stopper dislocated a finger last week.

The clash will also come too soon for forwards Craig Davies and Jordan Graham.

Wing-back Hayden White could feature, having returned to training late this week after missing last Saturday's loss to Plymouth through illness.

Grimsby will be without defender Ludvig Öhman.

Last time we met.png

We last faced the Mariners away from home on New Year’s Day. A Neal Bishop header was enough to give the Stags all three points that afternoon as they ran out 1-0 victors at Blundell Park.

The referee for Saturday’s game will be Paul Marsden, assisted by Richard Wigglesworth and Ian Smedley. The fourth official will be Alix Pashley.

The last match involving the Stags that Mr. Marsden took charge of was our 1-1 draw away at Northampton Town in April 2019.

Parking is extremely limited around Blundell Park. Supporters are advised to arrive early and use the local street parking. Please be aware, though, that some areas close to the ground have matchday parking restrictions.

Inside Blundell Park, away fans are treated to their own bar, named Scotties. The club bar shows live sport and there is plenty of seating for supporters who opt to enjoy a pre-match drink.

Furthermore, the Blundell Park Hotel is nearby and is a popular venue, although it quickly reaches its capacity so supporters will have to arrive in good time, whilst The Rutland Arms also has a good reputation.
