Brooksby Melton College Open Day this Saturday

30 October 2019

Brooksby Melton College's Open Day will take place on Saturday 02 November, offering the first opportunity for students and parents to find out more about our Football and Education programme for 16 to 21-year-olds.

The club have a long-standing relationship with Brooksby Melton College, with the Stags' under-18s team currently based at the college's facilities.

Saturday's Open Day will take place from 9am to 1.30pm and is a great opportunity for youngsters and parents to learn more about our Football Education programme.

Most programmes offer a two to three year route but, at Brooksby, we are offering a five-year route which gives players the opportunity to continue to combine football with their studies.

It is a great time to be a part of the football club, with Jimmy Knowles and Alistair Smith the most recent players to come through the educational programme.

Former Leicester City, Aberdeen, Barnsley and England youth international striker Tommy Wright will be leading the programme for the 2020-21 season and is looking forward to continuing the great work already achieved through the Mansfield Town and BMC Partnership.

There will be Talent I.D. games and Open Training sessions to attend in the new year with dates TBC.

For further information or to register your interest please contact Tommy Wright on tawright@brooksbymelton.ac.uk.
