Stags’ reserves are back in action on Tuesday 05 November when they welcome Scunthorpe United to The RH Academy for a Central League Cup clash (2pm kick-off).
Mansfield began their Central League Cup clash with a slender 4-3 defeat against a strong West Brom lineup in September.
A hat-trick from Wales international Hal Robson-Kanu helped the Baggies to a 4-0 lead, but strikes from Andy Cook, Omari Sterling-James and Tyrese Sinclair put the Stags within touching distance of a remarkable comeback.
Following the seven-goal thriller against West Brom, the reserves faced Walsall in their opening Central League fixture of the campaign, drawing 1-1 thanks to a late Jordan Graham strike.
Scunthorpe currently sit top of the Central League standings, having inflicted a 4-1 victory on the Saddlers in their only match so far.
In Group 3 of the Central League Cup, the Stags and Scunthorpe both sit on zero points having lost their opening fixtures against West Brom and Port Vale, respectively.
Scunthorpe will be hoping to record a win after their opening 3-1 loss against the Valiants, while the Stags will be looking to get off the mark in the competition.
Entry to Tuesday’s match is free of charge and can be found at the following address: The RH Academy, Woburn Lane, Mansfield, NG19 7RT.
The match will take place on grass at The RH Academy, rather than the 3G pitch. The grass pitches are adjacent to the 3G pitch.
