Preview: Macclesfield Town vs Stags

15 November 2019

Next up for the Stags is a trip to face Macclesfield Town at Moss Rose on Saturday 16 November (kick-off 3pm). Here’s all you need to know ahead of the fixture…

Team news.png

Mansfield are likely to have an almost fully fit squad for the clash with captain Krystian Pearce back in contention having returned to training this week following a groin injury.

The game will, however, likely come too soon for wing-back Hayden White.

Recent form.png

Mansfield have won three of their last four matches in all competitions, most recently defeating Chorley and Burton Albion in the FA Cup and Leasing.com Trophy.

The Silkmen, in comparison, have lost each of their last four matches, with their most recent league fixture seeing them being beaten 2-1 by Carlisle United.

Last time we met.png

We last faced the Silkmen in February of this year when goals from Jorge Grant, Krystian Pearce and Tyler Walker helped the Stags to a 3-1 victory at One Call Stadium.

The referee for Saturday’s game will be Paul Marsden, assisted by Richard Wigglesworth and Ian Smedley. The fourth official will be Alix Pashley.

There is only street parking around and behind the ground. A very safe place to park is in the Lyme Green Retail Park, which is only about 300 yards south of the ground down the London Road or on the London Road itself.

The Keith Alexander Bar at the ground offers food and drink to home and away supporters. There are two pubs within a ten-minute walk of the ground and these are the Golden Lion and the Railway View. Inside the ground, the usual matchday food is available with the addition of locally sourced pies.
