Read up on how several of Stags' loanees have been performing for their respective clubs around the country...

David Mirfin – York City

Centre-back David Mirfin recently joined York City until the end of the season, following a lengthy injury lay-off with the Stags. The defender had been enjoying a run of games before suffering a nasty facial injury against Nuneaton Borough – a game that finished 2-0 to York. Mirfin also started in and completed 90 minutes of York’s impressive 2-1 win away to Kidderminster Harriers.

Omari Sterling-James – Brackley

Stags’ attacking midfielder Sterling-James is currently enjoying a loan spell with Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town. The 25-year-old appeared as a substitute in their most recent clash, a 3-1 win away to Blyth Spartans. The exciting attacker has appeared in three of the last four games for his loan club.

Henri Wilder – Lewes FC

Centre-back Wilder was recently recalled from his loan spell with Lewes, a side that he has enjoyed two successful loan spells with this season. Similar to his first spell, the defender was a mainstay in the Rooks’ back-line, starting their last five matches before being recalled.

Keaton Ward – AFC Mansfield

The midfielder has enjoyed the last month on loan at AFC Mansfield, and was introduced as a substitute in their last game against Ponte Colls. Ward also started in the Bulls’ Notts FA Senior Cup quarter-final against Carlton Town. His best display for his loan club came on his full debut, in which he scored twice in a 3-1 win over Pickering Town.

Iyrwah Gooden – Ramsbottom United

Gooden has spent time with Ramsbottom United of late, and made a superb start to life Lancashire, scoring an incredible goal against Skelmersdale United. The forward picked up the ball in his own half, before running the length of the pitch and firing home to the far corner. Gooden also started in Stags reserves’ recent 2-1 Central League victory over Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.

Kane Baldwin – Coleshill Town

The defender has spent the majority of the season at Coleshill Town, with his loan club extending the deal on several occasions. He has appeared more regularly as a substitute of late, yet started in the narrow 2-1 defeat to AFC Dunstable.
