Blind football team on lookout for new coach

16 March 2019

Mansfield Town Blind FC are looking to add another coach to the club to help lead their blind football sessions on Sunday afternoons, as they look to grow the participation levels in blind football.

If you have FA coaching badges and fancy a new and exciting challenge, this could be the role for you.

The coach will be responsible for leading blind football training sessions on a Sunday afternoon, which are held on the 3G pitch at One Call Stadium from 2pm-4pm. Applicants will be expected to plan and lead training drills with support and guidance from the already established coach at the club.

The chosen applicant shall be enrolled on the FA’s blind footballers coaching course if not already completed and would be encouraged to attend some blind football matches in order to further develop their knowledge of the game.

*Applicants must have a FA coaching qualification

*This is a voluntary role however expenses may be covered.

*Chosen applicant must undergo a DBS check.

Mansfield Town Blind FC launched earlier this season with its initial goal to provide an opportunity for local visually impaired people to play blind football, however the club hopes that in the future they will be in a position to enter a team into the National Blind Football League.
