Travel guide: Newport

31 July 2019

We make the trip to South Wales on Saturday to face Newport County in our opening match of the new Sky Bet League Two season (3pm kick-off). Going to the game? Here's our travel guide...

The 165-mile journey should take approximately two hours and 51 minutes by car.

The Exiles play at Rodney Parade, Newport, Gwent. The stadium holds a capacity of 7,850 (5,421 seats). The relevant postcode for the ground is NP19 0UU.

There is no parking available at the ground. Most supporters park in side streets near the Stadium (please be aware of any parking restrictions) or use the multi-storey car parks in the town centre and take the short walk over the footbridge to Rodney Parade.

The closest pub to the away entrance is the Excelsior Institute on Corporation Road, which is approximately a five-minute walk from the ground, and this is where away fans tend to go ahead of games.

There is also a burger van situated just outside the away entrance. The clubhouse inside the ground allows away fans to enjoy a drink before and after the game. There are food kiosks and burger stands located in the stadium concourse where you can purchase food and drink.

The Stags have received an allocation of 422 tickets for the clash.

Supporters can purchase tickets on the day at no further price increase from Gate 6 at Rodney Parade. Fans should be aware that purchasing tickets on the day is cash only.

Blue members: £20
Non-members: £25
