Stags in Portugal for training camp

5 July 2019

Mansfield Town are currently in Amendoeira, Portugal, for a 10 day training camp.

As part of the trip, the Stags will face Championship outfit Swansea City in a training game in Portugal on Saturday 06 July.

The training match will take place at Complexo Desportivo, 8900-211 Vila Real de Santo António, Portugal, at 11am local time. Entrance is FREE for supporters to attend.

Moreover, the Stags will prepare for the Swans match in a training session on Friday 05 July, with a 10.30am kick-off (local time) at the home of Guia Football Club in Albufeira.

Entrance is FREE for Stags’ supporters to attend.

Plus, boss John Dempster has confirmed that Stags' fans will be able to meet and chat to our first team for around half-an-hour after Friday's inter-squad match, as a gesture of thanks to those who have travelled to Portugal.

Our meet and greet will replace the plans for an open training session.

The full address for the stadium is: Complexo desportivo Arsenio Catuna, Guia, Albufeira.

The stadium has a capacity of approximately 600, with a seating and refreshment area.

The club is providing daily updates to supporters from the heart of the Stags’ training camp via its official website, iFollow Stags (the club’s premium online channel) and official social media platforms.

Winger CJ Hamilton will takeover the club's Snapchat (search mtfcofficial) and Instagram (search mansfieldtownfc) social accounts for the 10-day trip.

Attacking midfielder Otis Khan will be producing a video diary for iFollow Stags (full versions) and the club's social media accounts (short versions).

John Dempster’s men will return to the UK on Sunday 07 July.
