Stags will be without the duo of Alex MacDonald and David Mirfin as the pair continue their recoveries from knee injuries.
Goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik has been ruled out for the season with an anterior cruciate ligament rupture, so will miss out.
Striker Craig Davies, who has an ankle injury, will also be absent.
Colchester manager John McGreal has no fresh injury concerns heading into Saturday's clash.
Stags go into the game off the back of a 1-0 victory over Crawley. Top scorer Tyler Walker scored the game's only goal - his 17th of the season - in the 88th minute of the clash at One Call Stadium.
Colchester sit fifth in the table heading into Saturday's match, yet have only won one of their last five games. The win came in their recent outing away to Port Vale, a game that ended 3-0 to the U's.

Stags have received two allocations of tickets for the clash in two stands, East 1 and East 2. We have received an allocation of 286 tickets in East 1, and 156 in East 2.

There are 600 car parking spaces at the stadium but it is essential that you pre-book your space in advance via the Colchester United website (cu-fc.com). The Colchester Town Centre Park and Ride car park is situated on the opposite side of the A12 to the Stadium (signposted just off Junction 28).
This car park has 1,000 spaces and fans attending games are welcome to use the car park. It costs £3 to park there, and from the car park it is then a relatively short five minute walk across the A12 bridge to the stadium.
There are few drinking outlets close to the ground. However, the Stadium Bar located inside the stadium is open to both home and away fans. There are the usual food offerings inside the ground.
