Mansfield Town under-18s will be hoping to continue their cup heroics on Monday evening, when they host Queens Park Rangers in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup at One Call Stadium (7pm kick-off).
The Stags will again be playing at the first team stadium, where they’ve been in fine form in the competition this season.
The young guns added to their 4-3 victory over Doncaster Rovers in the Round One with a thrilling 4-2 win over Rotherham United in the next stage.
Two goals late in extra time from Rio Molyneaux and substitute Ryan Ingram sealed victory against the ten-man Millers.
Strikes from Joshua Scott and Nathan Saunders had seen the Stags ahead before the visitors equalised late on in regular time of the contest.
Mansfield made their numerical advantage count as they struck late on in the additional 30 minutes to book their place in the next round.
QPR have enjoyed a recent upturn in form, after a disappointing start to their Professional Development League Two campaign.
Rangers have collected four points from their last three matches, including a 3-1 victory away to Coventry City.
And under-18s coach Mike Whitlow is expecting a stern test when they visit One Call Stadium on Monday.
He said: “QPR will come here - they’re a Championship club with a great academy setup and some unbelievable players.
“Winning games is great; we want these lads to go on and win professional contracts. If they keep performing and putting themselves on a big stage, they’ll have a great opportunity.”
Supporters are welcome to attend the game at the following venue: One Call Stadium, Quarry Lane, Mansfield, NG18 5DA.
Tickets for the match are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
Supporters will be housed in the lower tier of the Ian Greaves Stand for the match and tickets are cash only at the turnstiles.
Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available to purchase from Sandy's Bar & Kitchen for the game.
