For the first time, our brand new fans’ zone will be open this Saturday, prior to our Sky Bet League Two encounter with Stevenage.
The fans’ zone will be located opposite Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen, which can be found at the rear of the Ian Greaves Stand. It will open from 12noon.
There will be a range of refreshments available for selection, with a ten-pump mobile bar to be installed outside, along with a ‘Gin & Fizz’ tent. Additionally, there will be a food outlet in the fans’ zone.
Also, we’ll have live entertainment from local busker Wes Dolan, along with target basketball, air hockey, table football, a variety of inflatable games and much more for supporters to use.
Supporters housed in the Ian Greaves Stand – upper and lower tiers – can leave the stadium at half-time to access the fans’ zone, but will require a stamp on their hand, given at the turnstiles upon exit from the ground.
The stamp is to indicate whether you are housed in the upper or lower tier upon re-entry to One Call Stadium.
Operations director Tina Broughton said: “We’re proud to have made a number of great improvements to our supporters’ matchday experience in recent years and the invention of the new fans’ zone is a huge step in enhancing our fans’ experience at One Call Stadium.
“The new fans’ zone caters for all age groups and tastes. We want our new fans’ zone to complement what is already available for our supporters to enjoy at One Call Stadium, namely the new Sandy’s Bar & Kitchen and the family room, within the Quarry Lane Stand.
“We want our supporters to have the best possible experience on a home matchday and we’ll be using this weekend's match to evaluate its success and to also see how we can improve for our supporters throughout this season and beyond.”
