Mansfield Town under-18s continue their Youth Alliance North East Division campaign when they travel to face Huddersfield Town under-18s on Saturday (11:30am kick-off).
The Stags go into the game still searching for their first win of the season in all competitions, after a disappointing defeat to Fleetwood Town at The RH Academy last week.
The amber and blue took the lead through George Cooper in the first half but were reduced to 10 men following Ben Bayliss’ second half dismissal.
The Trawlermen capitalised on their man advantage to condemn the Stags to a 3-1 defeat in their first Youth Alliance Cup outing of the season.
Mansfield return to league action this weekend after drawing two and losing one of their opening three matches. The Terriers have drawn their only outing after sharing the spoils with Bradford City.
The last time the Stags visited Huddersfield it ended in a memorable 7-0 victory for the amber and blue, as they completed a league double over the Yorkshire outfit.
Performances have been better than results suggest so far this campaign, and Stags' coach Simon Ward insists that if the team stick to their principles the results will follow.
"If think we have to concentrate on what teams need to expect from us," said Ward.
"I’ve spoke in the last few interviews about playing well without getting results. We need to keep doing what we’re doing.
"We need to create more chances and I think we need to work on looking after the ball a little better in the final third," he said.
Supporters are welcome to attend the game at the following venue: PPG Canalside, 509 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ.
