Reserves preview: Port Vale vs Stags

29 April 2019

Stags' reserves travel to face Port Vale reserves on Tuesday 30 April for their final Central League game of the season (1pm kick-off).

The Stags can climb to fifth in the table with a victory over the Valiants, should other results go their way.

Last time out in the Central League, Mansfield were beaten 2-0 by Notts County at Ilkeston's New Manor Ground a fortnight ago.

Port Vale sit fourth in the table heading into Tuesday's match, and can rise above Doncaster Rovers in third with a win.

The Valiants put an end to their disappointing three-game losing streak with a convincing 3-0 victory over bottom side Grimsby in their last game.

The Stags last faced Vale in late March, a game that saw young striker Jimmy Knowles score on four occasions in a 4-1 victory.

Supporters are welcome to attend Tuesday's match, which will take place at the following venue: Vale Park, Hamil Road, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 1AW.

Entry to Tuesday's match is FREE for supporters via the Lorne Street Stand entrance.
