Stags’ under-18s will look to end the season on a high on Thursday night when they take on Scunthorpe United at the RH Academy (7pm kick-off).
Mansfield’s last game saw them lose 3-2 away to Burton, yet the amber and blue did manage to cut down a 3-0 deficit courtesy of a brace from defender Noah Stokes in the second-half.
The Stags would go onto hit the post via captain James Tague's stoppage time free-kick, which would have given his side a deserved equaliser had it gone in.
The last time Mansfield met Thursday night's opponents, the Iron recorded a 2-1 victory, despite the Stags initially leading through Tyrese Sinclair.
Scunthorpe have struggled for form as of late, yet recently recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town under-18s.
A win for Mansfield could see them finish as high as third, should other results go their way. Scunthorpe will be looking to finish the season strongly, after a recent run of two losses.
All supporters are welcome to attend the game, which will take place at the followng venue: The RH Academy, Woburn Lane, Mansfield, NG19 7RT.
