Match preview: Swindon Town vs Stags

19 October 2018

Stags return to action this weekend as they face a trip to Swindon Town for their next fixture in Sky Bet League Two. Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

Midfielder Neal Bishop will miss Saturday's game due to picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in Stags' recent fixture against Bury.

Alex MacDonald will also be absent as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

The game may come too soon for striker Craig Davies, who has an ankle problem.

Defender David Mirfin will also miss out, as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury.

The Robins have two doubts for the game, defender Chris Robertson and midfielder Michael Doughty.

Stags' boss David Flitcroft was in charge of Swindon in our previous encounter, with the Robins winning 1-0 at the County Ground in February of this year.

Stags have lost just one of their last eight games in all competitions heading into this weekend's match. Last time out, we recorded a 2-1 win over Wolves' under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy, with Jacob Mellis and Mal Benning netting for the Stags.

The Robins have won two out of their last six fixtures, which were both 3-0 wins away from home against Yeovil Town and Plymouth. Last time out, they lost 2-0 against Exeter away.

STAGS' LAST FIVE GAMES: 2W | 3D | 0L
