Match preview: Morecambe vs Stags

22 October 2018

Stags are in action on Tuesday evening as they face Morecambe at Globe Arena (7.45pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

Stags will be without midfielder Alex MacDonald and defender David Mirfin, as both players continue their recoveries from knee injuries.

Midfielder Neal Bishop is available for selection after serving his one-game suspension during Stags' 0-0 draw against Swindon Town. Meanwhile, Will Atkinson will be absent after his sending off against Swindon at the weekend.

Morecambe will be without Garry Thompson, James Sinclair, Alex Kenyon and Steven Old for the clash. The duo of Andrew Tutte and Rhys Oates are also doubts for the match.

The last time we faced Morecambe was in our 2-1 victory in January of this year at Globe Arena.

Danny Rose equalised for the Stags, before Mal Benning's late winner sealed all three points.

Last time out, ten-man Mansfield battled for a 0-0 draw at the County Ground against Swindon. In the game before, Stags beat Wolves' under-21s 2-1 in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Morecambe have won one of their past five matches, a 2-0 win away to Carlisle earlier this month. In their last outing, they were narrowly beaten 1-0 against Colchester.
