Match preview: Crewe Alexandra vs Stags

30 October 2018

Stags make the trip to the Alexandra Stadium on Tuesday 30 October to face Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League Two (7.45pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

Midfielder Alex MacDonald and defender David Mirfin will miss the match as they continue their recoveries from knee injuries. The game will also come too soon for wing-back Hayden White.

Defender Ryan Sweeney is suspended for the match after picking up his fifth booking of the season against MK Dons.

Crewe will be without defender Eddie Nolan and long-term absentee Paul Green for the clash.

Stags have lost just one of their last 11 matches going into the game, with their most recent result being a 1-1 draw against high-flying MK Dons at One Call Stadium on Saturday.

Crewe have lost one of their last six games heading into the match, with their most recent game being a 2-0 win at home over Grimsby.

The referee for Tuesday's match will be Christopher Sarginson, assisted by Joe Clark and Andrew Hendley. The fourth official will be Matthew Donohue.

The last time Mr. Sarginson took charge of a Stags' fixture was our 1-0 victory over Exeter in February of this year. Striker Danny Rose found the net for Mansfield.

Stags have been allocated 560 tickets for the clash.

Full ticket information can be found here.

The Supporters' Club at the ground allows a few away supporters in, and there are several pubs within walking distance, the nearest ones being the Corner Bar at the Royal Hotel and the Cheshire Cheese. There is the usual fayre of pies, burgers, etc. within the ground.

There is parking at the ground, costing £3.50, or follow the signs for ‘Away supporters on-street parking.’
