Match preview: Lincoln City vs Stags

23 November 2018

Stags make the trip to face Lincoln City in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday (1pm kick-off). Here's all you need to know ahead of the clash...

Midfielder Jacob Mellis - who was substituted mid-way through Stags' Emirates FA Cup first round replay at Charlton on Tuesday - will continue to be assessed up until matchday, as will fellow midfielder Otis Khan, who last featured in late October.

Timi ElÅ¡nik, who picked up a knock during the game, is classed as a doubt.

Industrious midfielder Neal Bishop, who was ill for Tuesday's match, has still not recovered at the time of writing.

The game may also come too soon for striker Craig Davies who missed the trip to South London in mid-week.

Meanwhile, versatile midfielder Alex MacDonald is continuing his rehabilitation following injury.

For the Imps, defender Sam Habergham will miss the game, with Neal Eardley a doubt for the clash.

The last time we faced Lincoln was in the Checkatrade Trophy group stage earlier this season at Sincil Bank.

Stags ran out 2-1 winners following goals from midfielder Calum Butcher and striker Tyler Walker.

Stags secured back-to-back league wins last Saturday with a 1-0 win over Port Vale, meaning we have only lost one match in Sky Bet League Two so far this season.

High-flyers Lincoln come into the game second in a table, a point below leaders MK Dons with a game in hand. The Imps' last game in Sky Bet League Two was a 2-1 win over Forest Green Rovers.

STAGS' LAST FIVE GAMES: 3W | 1D | 1L

LINCOLN'S LAST FIVE GAMES: 2W | 1D | 2L*

*One of which was lost on penalties against Wolves' under-21s after a 2-2 draw.

The referee for Saturday's game will be Gavin Ward, assisted by James Mainwaring and Nick Greenhalgh. The fourth official will be Tom Nield.

Stags have sold out their allocation of 1,652 tickets for the fixture.

This is an all-ticket fixture, and no tickets will be made available to purchase on matchday.

Parking at the ground is very limited and must be booked in advance. A little further away, adjacent to South Park roundabout, additional parking is sometimes available (LN5 8EN). Otherwise, parking is available in and around the city centre.

Mansfield fans are also able to park on Tentercroft Street (LN5 7DB) for £4 by downloading a pay by phone app and using code 801323.

Visiting fans are welcomed in the Fanzone from 10.30am, where there are multiple bars, entertainment, food and drinks. There are catering points inside the stadium, and there is a fish and chip shop (Back of the Net) 200 yards from the away stand.
