The Stags' supporters' Player of the Month has been announced... Mal Benning!
Despite only appearing three times in April due to suspension ruling him out of the opening three fixtures, Benning has clearly impressed the Stags' faithful with his recent performances.
He made himself an instant Mansfield hero with his derby-winning goal against Chesterfield, and had solid outings against Port Vale and Yeovil Town.
The defender received 31.5% of the vote from the poll we ran on our website earlier this week, with striker Kane Hemmings finishing second with 17.8%, and centre-back Krystian Pearce following in third with 11.6% of the votes.
