Match Preview: Luton Town vs Stags

31 March 2018

Stags travel to Luton Town on Easter Monday, and here’s all you need to know ahead of the long trip to Kenilworth Road…

Defender David Mirfin will miss out again as he continues to recover from knee surgery.

Manager David Flitcroft has said that top scorer Danny Rose will continue to be assessed over the weekend ahead of the game, and could play some part in the clash.

Luton will be without midfielder Luke Berry, after he suffered a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula in the Hatters’ 2-1 loss to Colchester United on Friday.

Stags last faced Luton back in August at One Call Stadium, in a game that had plenty of late drama.

Goals from Rhys Bennett and Lee Angol gave Stags a 2-0 lead, but late strikes from Lee Collins and Danny Hylton levelled the score.

Stags had a chance to win the game at the death, but Jimmy Spencer saw his penalty well saved by Hatters ‘keeper Marek Stech.

Kevin Johnson will referee the game, assisted by Andrew Hendley and Anthony Da Costa. The fourth official will be Robert Hyde.

Stags received precisely 1,032 away tickets for the game.

Unfortunately, tickets for this fixture are no longer available to buy.
