“The first day is always a hard fixture. Everyone tries to implement what they’ve done in pre-season straight onto the grass.
"But as long as we come away with three points on opening day I’m not fussed about who it’s against."
Asked which fixtures he's looking forward to viewing most, he said: “All the local ones. Notts County and Lincoln are always good games, so I’ll be looking forward to them."
