There’s plenty of mouth-watering football to sink your teeth into, including popular quiz and poker nights this week in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar.
We start on MONDAY with Monday Night Football as relegation-threatened Swansea City host high-flying Liverpool in the Premier League. Having recently stopped the juggernaut that is Manchester City with an impressive 4-3 win, will the Reds topple the Swans? Coverage starts at 7.00pm with kick-off at 8.00pm.
Could we see a potential upset on TUESDAY when Manchester City travel to Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final? The Robins weathered the Premier League leaders’ storm until Sergio Aguero scored the winner in injury time to give the Sky Blues the advantage heading into the second leg. See the action live from 7.30pm (kick-off 7.45pm) in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar.
On WEDNESDAY, in the Carabao Cup, Arsenal face Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in their semi-final second leg. The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system took centre stage during a relatively uneventful affair at Stamford Bridge in the first leg, as referee Martin Atkinson used the technology twice to assess two penalty shouts in either half, neither of which were given. You can catch coverage from 7.30pm with kick-off at 7.45pm.
Can we get a ‘full house’ in our weekly poker night? Starting from 8.00pm on WEDNESDAY, the buy-in is £5 and you could walk away with a sizeable jackpot!
THURSDAY is quiz night at the Sandy Pate Sports Bar and starts at 8.30pm. There will be a range of topics covering from general knowledge to sport and food & drink to TV & Film. There’s something for everyone so assemble your team and get quizzing!
We'll also be hosting a game of Sticky 13s on THURSDAY – simply be the first person to have all your cards read out to win over £530!
It’s back to the oldest knockout competition in the world on FRIDAY when the Emirates FA Cup returns. Holders Manchester United travel to Huish Park to face Sky Bet League Two side Yeovil Town. Catch all the action with kick-off at 7.55pm.
You can also take advantage of Fizz Friday. Between 6.00pm and 9.00pm every FRIDAY you can buy a bottle of prosecco for just £10.
The FA Cup resumes on Saturday as Peterborough United host Leicester City at the ABAX Stadium. Peterborough have beaten Tranmere, Woking and Aston Villa to make it to the fourth round, whilst the Foxes had to go to a replay against Fleetwood to progress into round four. This tie kicks off on SATURDAY at 12.30pm.
Later on in the day, arguably the tie of the round takes place with Newport County hosting Premier League Tottenham Hotspur at Rodney Parade. Coverage starts from 5.00pm and kick-off is at 5.30pm.
The last of the FA Cup games on SATURDAY sees an all-Premier League tie as Liverpool face West Bromwich Albion at Anfield. Both sides will be hoping to progress to the fifth round (7.45pm).
The only FA Cup fixture to be shown on SUNDAY will be Chelsea against Newcastle. The Blues were taken to penalties by Championship side Norwich City in the previous round, whilst Newcastle dispatched Luton Town. Coverage starts from 1.00pm and kick-off is at 1.30pm.
The bar is open from 12.00pm every day this week, with food being served until 9.00pm.
