Travel Guide: Morecambe

25 January 2018

We travel to the Globe Arena on Saturday to take on Morecambe in Sky Bet League Two (3.00pm kick-off), a ground with a capacity of 6,476 (2,173 seating) and here's your comprehensive guide to the stadium...

After spending 89 years at Christie Park, the club moved to the new purpose-built stadium, Globe Arena in 2010.

If travelling by car, the journey to the ground will take approximately three hours. Supporters who decide to drive should use the post-code LA4 4TB for directions to the ground.

Supporters wishing to use the rail service to Morecambe can purchase a return ticket £62.50 and the journey will take roughly between four and five hours, including four changes at Worksop, Sheffield, Manchester Piccadilly and Lancaster. It will then take around 20-25 minutes to walk to the Globe Arena from the train station.

The Stags Supporters’ Association have sold out their 59-seater coach to Morecambe.

The SSA provide family-friendly away travel to every first team game and encourage alternative transport to call their travel partner Roy on 07984 432595 to check the latest availability.

For those who have a place on the SSA coach, it will depart One Call Stadium car park at 9.00am on Saturday, making a trip to the seaside before the game.

Just outside the stadium entrance is a relatively new Marston's pub called the Hurley Flyer. Family friendly and offering food too, it has its own car park which costs £10 before the game, but this can be refunded against a food purchase. Otherwise the closest bar that admits away supporters is on the Regent Leisure Holiday Park.

We have been allocated 576 tickets for the fixture, which are seated tickets in the PMG Stand A & B.

Tickets are available to purchase in advance from the Mansfield Town ticket office in person, via telephone (01623 482 482) or online from www.stagstickets.co.uk.

Stags’ fans will be able to purchase tickets on the day, with no price increase.

However, we do encourage supporters to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid queues at the Globe Arena on the day of the game.

Prices are as follows:

Adults £21
Seniors (65+) £17
Young adults (18-21) £15
Students (in full time education) £15
Juniors (under 18) £6
