Travel guide: Cambridge United

10 January 2018

We travel to the Abbey Stadium on Saturday to take on Cambridge United in Sky Bet League Two (3.00pm kick-off), a ground with a capacity of 8,127.

The ground opened in 1932 and the U's feeder club, Cambridge Regional College, also played there until their dissolution in 2014.

If travelling by car, the journey to the R Costings Abbey Stadium will take approximately two hours. Supporters who are opting to drive should use the post-code CB5 8LN for directions to the ground. Supporters are advised to park in the areas off Coldhams Lane.

Supporters wishing to use the rail service to Cambridge can purchase a return ticket £58.50 and the journey will take approximately three hours, including two changes at Nottingham and Ely. It will then take around 25-30 minutes to walk to the Abbey Stadium from the train station.

The easiest and most cost-effective way to travel to Cambridge is with the Stags Supporters' Association!

The SSA provide family-friendly away travel to every first team game and you can join them for our clash with the U's!

Prices are as follows:
Amber members: £15
Blue members: £20
Non-members: £25

The coach will leave the One Call Stadium car park at 10.30am on Saturday and you can book your spot by calling their booking hotline on 07967 689597.

The Wrestlers pub along Newmarket Road offers great Thai food or another option is The Tram Depot, which is a venue known for its character and broad selection of drinks.

Alternatively, there is a matchday kiosk situated in the away end which serves a selection of hot and cold food and drink.

We have been allocated 616 tickets in the South Stand for the fixture, with more available if required.

Tickets are available to purchase in advance from the Mansfield Town ticket office in person, via telephone (01623 482 482) or online from www.stagstickets.co.uk.

Stags' fans will also be able to purchase tickets on the day of the game, but all categories will be subject to a £2 increase.

Adults £20
Seniors (64+) £15
Students (with valid NUS card) £15
Young adults (18-21) £15
