I’m sure you all know that today we play Cardiff City at the One Call Stadium in the Emirates FA Cup third round replay – an achievement that everyone at Mansfield Town is extremely proud of.
It’s been a long journey over the last few years, and there have been a lot of changes at the club, both on and off the pitch – and the game later today serves testament to the hard work that our players, coaches, fans and back of house staff do week in week out. It goes without saying that we would not be here without them – and of course, the support of our fans.
There’s been a lot of talk about what will happen if we beat Cardiff and whilst we want everyone to focus on today’s game, the prospect of playing Manchester City is incredible. To host the 2013/14 Premier League champions would be an honour.
Every week thousands of you turn up to support the boys – and since I’ve been at the club there hasn’t been a quiet game at the One Call Stadium. So, to all of our fans out there – get behind us again today so we can better that draw in Wales!
